How to Measure Width (Curtains v2)

How to Measure Width for Curtains

1. Measuring the Rod:

Measure the length of the installed curtain rod, excluding finials.

2. Measuring the Window:

Measure the width from trim to trim. We’ll automatically add 6" per side (12" total) for fabric stack, for stack space, but you can request a custom adjustment.

Header Considerations:

  • Pleated headers: Fullness is built into the design. Curtains will be made to match the measured width.
  • Casual headers: Curtains are made at 2x the measured width for proper fullness.

Opening Considerations:

  • Center Open: Curtains are made as a pair, each panel covering half the window.
  • One-Way Open: Curtains are made as a single panel at the full measured width.
