How to Measure

Inside Mount:

Measure the depth of the top window frame; allow at least 1 ¼ for bracket installation. The bracket attaches to the top, not the sides.
Measure the width inside the window frame, from jamb to jamb.
Measure the height inside the window frame, from the top jamb to the windowsill.
Use the shortest width and the longest height measurements.
Order blinds or shades in the actual window size; no deductions needed. Our factory will already make a 3/8" width deduction.

Outside Mount:

Measure and order the blind or shade to be the exact size you desire, ensuring it is both wider and taller than the window.
The width should be 4 inches wider than the window (2 inches on each side) to ensure no light enters from the sides. Alternatively, the width can align with any window molding.
The height should allow a minimum of 2 inches above the window for bracket installation. To fully clear the window when open, add 6 inches above window

Motorization Details

We offer two types of motors: (1) standard radio frequency and (2) Matter-over-Thread.

Radio Frequency

Out of the box, Radio Frequency operates by remote/wall switch. In order to connect to your smartphone and smart home devices, such as Alexa and Google, you need a Smart Hub to act as a bridge. Only one Smart Hub for multiple shades is required. Therefore, it is usually still a more economical way to achieve smart home integration.

Matter-over-Thread

Matter-over-Thread motors utilize the latest technology, which integrates directly with smart devices without a need for a Hub. Integration is also extremely simple - just scan the QR code on the bottom rail with your smartphone to connect.
You can connect directly with the following devices: Apple TV 4K (3rd Gen, 128 GB), Apple TV 4K (2nd Gen), HomePod (2nd Gen), HomePod Mini; Amazon Alexa Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen), Echo (4th Gen); Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen), Nest Hub Max, Nest Wifi Pro; Samsung SmartThings Hub v3, SmartThings Station

Accessories

Remotes/Wall Switches

Remotes and Wall Switches have 2, or 15 channels. Each channel can control up to 20 shades.
We recommend one Remote or Wall Switch per room. Please make sure to purchase at least one Remote/Wall Switch to operate your motorized shades.

Chargers

Number of Chargers will depend on the number of shades, but can be adjusted upon request.

Smart Hubs

Smart Hubs (for radio frequency motors) have a range of 100'. For homes with multiple floors, one hub per floor is recommended.

Solar Panels

Solar Panels are recommended for high windows that are difficult to charge.
They are easy to install. They can be attached either on the side of the window frame or on the window glass itself. 3M tape is included.
